Tribute to Alexander McQueen in London

After his suicide on the 11th February Alexander McQueen's memory is honored in London. Apparently his suicide motivation is connected with a number of emotional outbursts, the suicide of his muse Isabella Blow and the death of his mother Joyce, after struggling with a long ilness. His personality was excentric and fashion was its outlet. Through his creativity in his early stages as a desingner he used to show his collections on models that looked bruised, altered, in pain.

On September the 20th around 1000 people gathered at Saint Paul's Cathedral London to pay tribute to the man that once was Alexander McQueen. Among the members in attendance were the designer's father, colleagues, Stella McCartney, Hussein Chalayan, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Sarah Jessica Parker and Vogue's Anna Wintour.

Anna Wintour stated that it was hard to find a confort zone with Alexander McQueen and that is how he will remain forever, a man of contradictions.
