How to get by through bad times and remain fabulous

All of us fall down from time to time and as a person who has fallen down more than once I would like to think that I have learnt something from it. I've always tried to see bad times through a good perspective, as Tolstoy used to put it "what we conceive as being bad is only the present absence of good". This means that when we are down, we have to hope that this is just a transition period for something good to come our way.

Usually, I always try to fill my time with something else. Never just stop your life and be sad. Try to fill your life with happiness. Go out, meet with friends. Focus on things you like: go shopping, but whatever you do, never think about the things that make you feel sad in the first place.

Moreover, when you are in this kind of situation take a moment and look at yourself. This is the perfect moment to look at yourself again and improve your relationship with yourself. Remember, the most important relationship you'll ever have is the one with yourself and this is the person that you have to keep happy. Revaluate your life and your goals. Rediscover who you are again and have fun with it.

Also, try to have a little dignity and grace when you are down. Just keep your head up and be proud of who you are and what you do. Let people know that you respect yourself and they will respect you in return. Plus, the world doesn't suddenly stop because you're having a hard time. The fact that you're down has little effect on the outside world and this is why I am saying that you should always act with elegance.

And the most important thing: have faith. Have faith that maybe tomorrow things will improve :)
